Taiwan Lantern Festival 2023｜BUNNY RUNNING

Over the past decade, Taiwan's Lantern Festival has evolved from a traditional celebration to a showcase for technology and artistic innovation. In recent years, artists and studios have leveraged new technologies to create stunning lantern displays, culminating in city-wide art festivals that attract visitors from around the world. With the goal to create an innovative and mesmerizing interactive installation, we started by taking the joy of receiving a package and turning it into an immersive experience featuring a narrative-driven storyline. Audiences engaged directly with 3D billboards, revealing hidden treasures in packages through discrete sensors. In the film's climax,the bunny courier delivered the package right to the audience on the top of the screens. Crafted for an intimate encounter, this ground-level piece provided a fully immersive experience, seamlessly integrating audiences into the narrative while transforming 3D billboards into a responsive sculpture. By combining three-storey high screens, lights, lasers, projections, real-time interaction, the physical bunny, and captivating music, the location was transformed into a unique architectural wonderland, fostering a collective experience.
